Go to Control Panel > Regional and Language Options
Click on the Languages Tab.
Tick "Install files for East Asian Languages"
Click Apply
Click Details
Click Add
Scroll down to Japanese for input language.
Scroll down to Japanese for keyboard layout.
Click OK.
In the end it should look like this.
Installation Complete!
Reboot the computer.
How to type in Japanese
After you reboot you should see this tab.
In order to start typing in Japanese you will need to click the button and select Japanese.
Right-Click it and click Restore the language bar.
Click the second button and select Hiragana.
Now you can type in Romaji and it will come up as Hiragana!
If you want to change back, just click the first button and select English.
